Fitonasal Bio-Ointment is a product that provides physiological relief from irritation and dryness of the nasal mucosa and the skin around the nose. It protects the skin through the following mechanisms of action:
- Barrier: forms a soothing, protective film on the nasal mucosa and the skin around the nose, limiting contact with external irritants.
- Hydrating: helps restore the skin’s natural hydrolipidic balance and prevents dehydration.
- Antioxidant: reduces free radicals generated by inflammation of the mucosa.
Fitonasal Bio-Ointment also promotes the healing and regeneration of the nasal mucosa and the recovery of abrasions and cracks in the skin around the nose.
INDICATIONS
Fitonasal Bio-Ointment is indicated for use in all cases of:
- irritation of the nasal mucosa caused by a runny nose in cases of the common cold and various forms of acute and chronic rhinitis;
- dryness and atrophy of the nasal mucosa caused by acute and chronic medical conditions (e.g. sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis), medicines (e.g. decongestants, corticosteroids, antihistamines), contact with external irritants (e.g. microorganisms, dust, smoke, smog, pollen, cold air), or prolonged exposure to dry or excessively heated environments;
- irritation, chapping and abrasions of the nostrils and the skin around the nose caused by excess mucus and frequent wiping.
It can also be used preventively, to treat conditions that can cause dryness, and before engaging in prolonged physical activity. From 6 months of age.
Instructions for use
Apply an appropriate amount of product to your finger, depending on your age and the size of your nostrils (approximately one coffee bean's worth for adults and about half that amount for children). Apply to the inside of the nostril and massage gently from the bottom upwards. If the skin is irritated, chapped or has minor abrasions, apply the product to the area around the outside of the nose as well.
The product should be applied to the nose after it has been thoroughly cleansed (ideally after using a nasal rinse). Apply 3–4 times a day, particularly in the evening before going to bed. If you are using other nasal sprays, use this product 10–15 minutes after treatment. Fitonasal Bio-Ointment can also be taken for prolonged periods. Composition
1 ml of bio-ointment contains: 6 mg of Redraphen complex, composed of resins and polysaccharides (extracted fraction of frankincense and dehydrated Aloe vera leaf gel), 146 mg of jojoba oil, water, sucrose stearate, sucrose distearate, glyceryl stearate, cetylstearyl alcohol, caprylic/capric triglyceride, xanthan gum, citric acid, tocopherols, sodium metasilicate, benzyl alcohol, sodium dehydroacetate, sunflower oil and lavender essential oil.
Warnings
Do not use in cases of severe mucosal lesions or nosebleeds. Do not use in case of individual hypersensitivity or allergy to one or more components.
